Academic Studies
The Academic Studies department is home to a large number of full-time and part-time staff who teach across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study.
Across the department our staff maintain a variety of musical careers.
Some are performers, some are composers, some are musicologists.
The Academy also has teams of Programme Tutors who ensure that students’ study is productive and fun.
In fact, most of our staff do more than one thing, sometimes at the same time, and this is central to the vibrant ethos of the department. This ethos flourishes upon collaborative projects, the creative intermingling of different lines of enquiry and the new performances and new works.
Many of our staff are take part in international projects and are key members of performance studies networks.
