The Academy has received a £150,000 grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies to support an end-to-end redevelopment of our website to enhance user experience, accessibility and visibility.

The Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Program helps arts organisations to strengthen technology and management practices to improve operations, increase fundraising and engage broader audiences. Since 2021, Bloomberg Philanthropies has invested $128 million in the initiative, which has supported nearly 350 cultural institutions in the UK and USA. Organisations are invited to apply for the programme based on creative excellence, service to diverse communities and talented leadership.

The programme will aid the Academy's project to improve user experience, accessibility and visibility across our website's recruitment, research, ticketing and alumni pages. This redevelopment will support the Academy's goals to widen access, strengthen research, foster student performance and improve alumni and donor engagement, aligning with our mission of building a diverse, outward-looking and globally connected community.

The Academy website is the digital flagship that reflects our world-leading status in music education. Through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Program, we have a fantastic opportunity to improve the user experience for our students and to rethink how the website can support our strategic goals.
