Katalin Koltai presents at IRCAM’s Stravinsky Hall, Paris

Dr Katalin Koltai recently presented and performed at IRCAM, Paris, in the Stravinsky Hall as part of Remix, an event showcasing the first results of a new hybrid artistic research group led by Carmine-Emanuele Cella.

Remix brings together composers, performers, researchers and technologists.

Katalin’s presentation focused on extending the guitar’s polyphonic possibilities through fretboard augmentation on the Open Frets Guitar, alongside the ongoing development of new guitar interfaces using actuation in collaboration with Pierre Carré, Alois Cerbu and Per Bloland.

Katalin is also presenting her research at the forthcoming Innovation in Music conference at Aalborg University, Denmark, in June 2026.
