Founded by Geraint Jones and Calton Younger as the Kirckman Concert Society in 1963, Kirckman Concerts platform early-career artists of exceptional talent, promoting ‘tomorrow’s stars in the making’.
Each year, a panel of distinguished musicians select a handful of promising artists to partner with, offering them opportunities to perform in London and further afield and subsidising the fees of these concerts for their chosen artists. Last year’s named artists included Academy musicians Sherri Lun and the Regency Quartet.
For 2026-2027, the Academy is proud to be represented by postgraduate piano student Tomos Boyles, piano alum Gabrielé Sutkuté, and string ensembles Volt Duo, Trio Nostos and Karelia Quartet.
The Tillett Trust have empowered outstanding young musicians for over 40 years, encouraging careers in classical music.
The Tillett Debut Scheme, established by the trust, provides young musicians with vital concert experience, inviting them into the UK concert circuit to build their repertoire and learn professional stagecraft. As well as external performances organised by the trust, The Tillett Debut Scheme hosts an annual concert at a central London venue for participants to share their talent.
The Academy are delighted that this year’s participants in the Tillett Debut scheme are all Academy trained; current piano student Milda Daunoraite, violin alum Basil Alter, wind ensemble Dogoda Quintet and string ensemble Neruda Quartet will take part.
The Academy would like to congratulate Tomos, Milda, Basil, Gabrielé, Volt Duo, Trio Nostos, Dogoda Quintet, Neruda Quartet and Karelia Quartet on their continued successes, and the next steps in their careers.
