The Academy’s Ensemble Piano Department is led by the world-leading song and chamber pianist, Senior Professor James Baillieu.
Our programme provides a comprehensive curriculum to hone your collaborative abilities, artistic expression and professional skills, including coaching, continuo training, orchestral piano performance, chamber music, historical performance practice, working with conductors and opera repertoire. You will also receive personalised instruction tailored to your career aspirations.
Performance lies at the heart of the programme, with regular recitals, masterclasses and ensemble performances. You will collaborate with a wide range of singers, instrumentalists and chamber ensembles, which will broaden your musical perspectives and deepen your artistic development.
