Programme Details
Audiovisual artist Kathy Hinde creates installations and collaborative performances that combine sound, sculpture, image and light, primarily inspired by the behaviours and phenomena of nature. She has been collaborating with Academy pianists to present a concert fusing piano and visuals.
The programme includes music by the Japanese composer Somei Satoh, Messiaen, Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks, Schumann, Rachmaninov, Liszt, Debussy and Ravel, interwoven with imagery that explores time, place and perception: from stunning timelapse films spanning an entire day to thought-provoking experiments with AI.
The visuals have been gathered over the course of a year by the whole group working collaboratively. They blend scenes of London with footage from around the world: urban skylines in Singapore, snowy landscapes in Bulgaria, fountains in Italy and poetic reflections of water and dappled light in France.
