Programme Details

An exciting afternoon of rolling chamber music in the David Josefowitz Recital Hall, ranging from 19th century romanticism, chamber music from Armenia and a brand-new piano quintet by one of our piano students.

Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn’s elegant, virtuosic piano trios are paired by pianist Andrew Zhao and Trio Thalassa; at 3.30pm an excitingly diverse programme of Armenian music unfolds, curated by the pianist Maria Saakian.

The afternoon ends with the premiere of 18-year-old Arthur Kokerai’s work for piano and strings, Kenopsia: The Eeriness of Places Left Behind.
