Brass Discovery Events

You will have chance to meet Kira Doherty, Head of Brass, observe rehearsals and classes and attend a lunchtime Wind and Brass Ensemble concert.

There will also be opportunity to ask questions to current students and members of our Admissions team.

Schedule

Friday 25 September 2026

  • 10-11.45am | Welcome from Kira Doherty followed by a performance class
  • 10.30am | Open rehearsal
  • 11.45am-1pm | Lunch break and building tours
  • 1-2pm | Wind and Brass Ensemble Concert, directed by Jeroen Berwaerts
  • 2.10-3.30pm | Instrument classes
    Trumpet, horn, and trombone applicants are welcome to bring along their instruments and take part in the classes. Tubas will be provided for tuba applicants.
  • 3.45-4.45pm | Q&A session with Kira Doherty, a representative from the Admissions team, and current students
