Overview

Poetry is less a respecter of individual persons than it is a compassionate witness to the meanings of the secret language that beats inside human hearts, the music that pulses through human cries, and the divinity which shines love beyond the veils of human limitations.

Aberjhani, Splendid Literarium: A Treasury of Stories, Aphorisms, Poems, and Essays

This project designs and delivers an event that captures a multidisciplinary diary of my artistic process. I have always associated music with various external factors – tangible things like nature, or people, but also things that are hard, at least for me, to illustrate in any other way. I am trying to grasp the musical truths that I believe in and know beyond understanding: the ebb and flow of the music, the ways that melodies shift, the underlying harmonic changes – all these qualities that make us understand music in a physical, cognitive and spiritual way. Scenes from places that matter to me will be shadowed onto the stage, and a collage of phrases will be translated into movement. I will be working closely with a dancer, to bring the audience into my world and the way I make music, as well as inspire them to envision their own.
