Tom Carroll

Tom is from South-East London and holds a BA in Classics from Durham University.

While studying, he performed as Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, Jon in tick, tick… BOOM!, the Baker in Into the Woods and Charley in Merrily We Roll Along. As President of Castle Theatre Company, he oversaw a national tour of As You Like It and a sold-out Comedy Cabaret in Durham Castle. He sang bass-baritone with Northern Lights, the seven-time national a cappella champions, ranked second in the world. With them, he performed at New York City Town Hall, the O2, the Barbican and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Tom is also a clarinettist and was the lead singer of the rock band Wildflower, headlining events across Newcastle and London. Tom received the Help Musicians’ Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award and is delighted to train at the Academy.
