Tom read Music at Oxford University before training at the Royal Academy of Music

His musical direction credits include Pinocchio (National Theatre); Show Boat and Caroline, or Change (West End); Flowers for Mrs Harris, Fiddler on the Roof and Forty Years On (Chichester Festival Theatre); Romantics Anonymous (Bristol Old Vic); Anything Goes (Sheffield Crucible Theatre and UK tour); Everybody's Talking About Jamie (Sheffield Crucible); The Empress (Royal Shakespeare Company and Kneehigh); Abomination: A DUP Opera (The Belfast Ensemble/Lyric Theatre Belfast); Floyd Collins (Wilton's Music Hall); A Tale of Two Cities (Royal & Derngate); Evita (Festival Ljubljana, Slovenia); Have a Nice Life (Edinburgh Festival and Fringe NYC); and concerts with Orchestre Nationale de Lille, France.

As associate/assistant musical director, his work includes The Light Princess and She Stoops to Conquer (National Theatre); 13 (National Youth Music Theatre/West End); My Fair Lady (Sheffield Crucible); and Wah! Wah! Girls (Sadler’s Wells/Kneehigh).

He composed the music for The Butterfly Lion (Minerva Theatre, Chichester).

Tom is a classically trained trombonist and reached the brass category semi-finals of the BBC Young Musician in 2005 and 2007.
