Simon Minshall

Simon is a London based Bass and Contrabass Trombonist

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where in addition to a BMus degree he also achieved an LRAM in Trombone Teaching.

He can be heard playing across all musical genres, from the Royal Opera House to the London Symphony Orchestra and the Ronnie Scott’s Big Band as well as film and television soundtracks. He currently holds the chair for Back to the Future the Musical in London’s West End.

As an educator, Simon’s students have gone on to be members of ensembles such as the National Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Brass Band. He has also lead masterclasses around the UK and abroad, including Japan and the USA. Simon is currently President of the British Trombone Society and been actively involved with the society for over 15 years.
