Preston Yeo is a British prize-winning violinist, orchestral leader and coach, who has built a reputation of exhilarating yet heartfelt performances.

He trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, graduating with First-Class Honours as well as Distinctions for his Masters and Teaching Licentiate, and was awarded a Diploma for an outstanding graduation recital. He also received guidance and mentorship through masterclasses at the Royal Academy of Music and the International Musicians’ Seminar (Prussia Cove).

In 2022, Preston was selected for the Meaker Fellowship, spending the year leading orchestral workshops, adjudicating exams, and hosting internationally-renowned visiting professors; he was then invited to continue his work as a teacher, orchestral and chamber coach in the Royal Academy’s Junior Department faculty. Preston also served as Concertmaster of the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra from 2022–24.

Preston enjoys a range of performances: solo recitals (St James’s Piccadilly), concertos (Penzance Orchestral Society, Turner Sims), chamber music (Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall), orchestral performances (London Symphony Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra US tour), and opportunities in Italy, Romania, and the Czech Republic, as well as world premieres of works specially-commissioned for him.

Generously on loan from the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation, Preston plays a 1824 Giovanni Maria Valenzano violin.
