Nicole Wilson
BMus (Hons), ARAM, LRAM Violin and Viola Tutor (LRAM)
Nicole is a student of Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
She joined the first violins of the London Symphony Orchestra in 1999 and enjoyed a decade touring the world, playing in the world’s greatest concert halls and performing on numerous film and TV soundtracks including the Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises. She went on to become an orchestral fixer and music supervisor for COOL Music, booking orchestras to record for major UK and American TV series.
In 2008 Nicole became a principal violinist at English National Opera and currently leads the London Musical Theatre Orchestra. She has appeared as a guest principal with major orchestras including the RPO, BSO, CBSO, LPO, Philharmonia and London Concert Orchestras.
Nicole is a professor of Violin at Eton College and previously Chair of ESTA UK. Her love of connecting great music teachers to talented students resulted in the foundation of the online learning platform Musical Orbit, which supported teachers and students during the pandemic. She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Virtuoso International Music Academy at the historic Winchester College, bringing together a world class faculty for string students from around the globe and has founded and managed several music courses with international faculty including Pinchas Zukerman, Augustin Haderlich, Robert DeMaine, Gary Levinson and Clio Gould.
As a producer Nicole has created recordings and concerts in the UK and has been involved in the creation of several large-scale international theatre, concert and dance projects. An experienced concert presenter, Nicole has presented for BBC 4 TV, BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM Radio, as well as live concerts around the UK.
