Professor Laura Vukobratović

International Visiting Professor of Trumpet

Laura is an experienced soloist, chamber musician, orchestral trumpet player and teacher.

Laura was born in Yugoslavia and began playing the trumpet at the age of five. She studied in Karlsruhe under Professor Reinhold Friedrich and has over 30 years of experience as an orchestral musician. She was the first woman to hold a Principal Trumpet position in a German top-tier orchestra (“A-Orchester”) and also one of the first women to become a Professor of Trumpet.

Laura has a particular passion for contemporary and early music and performs internationally as a chamber musician in various ensembles at renowned concert venues worldwide.
