Kathryn Adamson

MA DipLib Hon FRAM Honorary Research Fellow

Kathryn Adamson’s research interests are centred on the Academy’s institutional records

Kathryn’s research on the Academy’s institutional records is focussed on the Minute Books of the Committee of Management dating from 1822. She has created a searchable transcription of the first 60 years of these books, which will be made available to researchers on request. The transcription’s footnotes add explanatory detail and also make links to other institutional records, such as the historic registers of student intake and the Minutes of Professors’ and Directors’ Meetings.

Future research projects include a continuation of the transcription past 1882 and into the 20th century, and an exploration of how the Academy’s institutional records might be linked together. Enabling researcher access to as much relevant material as possible will save the time of both researchers and the Academy teams who assist them.
