Jerome Zhao

Jiyun (Jerome) Zhao holds a degree from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.

He has worked as a musical director, conductor and pianist on musical theatre productions including The Phantom of the Opera, MAMMA MIA!, Cats, Jekyll & Hyde, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and Next to Normal. His recent work includes the original Chinese musical The Message. Over the years, he has enjoyed working on a variety of musical theatre productions and collaborating with different creative teams. He is very happy to have the opportunity to return to study at the Royal Academy of Music, where he hopes to further develop his approach to music direction and continue exploring new ways of working with performers and musicians.
