Jean-Baptiste Robin

Visiting Professor of Organ

Jean-Baptiste Robin is the Organist of the Royal Chapel at the Palace of Versailles and serves as Professor of Organ and Composition at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Versailles.He is widely regarded as one of today’s most prominent French concert organists, master teachers, and composers.

His international recital career spans Europe, Asia, and the Americas, with performances at prestigious venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Berliner Philharmoniker, and the Paris Philharmonie. He has also performed at historic European cathedrals, such as Cologne and Geneva, and was appointed organist of the historic François-Henri Clicquot organ at Poitiers Cathedral.

As a dedicated educator, he has held artistic residencies at Yale University and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He has also served on juries for major international competitions in Montreal, St Albans, and Germany. A prolific composer, M. Robin has written over fifty works performed by ensembles like the Orchestre National de France and conductors such as Marin Alsop. His extensive, award-winning discography has earned numerous accolades, including several Golden Diapason awards and the Gramophone Editor’s Choice.
