Charlotte Corderoy

Charlotte Corderoy is a London-based conductor and musical director currently working across both classical and musical theatre genres.
Awarded Critics' Circle ‘Conductor of the Year, 2025’ — Charlotte works internationally and at home as a conductor and educator. Her collaborations have seen her work with: The Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the opera pit, Charlotte’s debuts include: English National Opera, Opéra National de Lyon, Opera Holland Park, Volksoper Wien, Irish National Opera and State Opera South Australia.
Charlotte enjoys a close collaborative relationship with renowned soprano and conductor Barbara Hannigan — during her time as a postgraduate student at The Royal Academy of Music, Charlotte and Barbara recorded a new disk of Stravinsky’s chamber works. Featuring musicians from The Royal Academy of Music and The Juilliard School, the disk was released with Linn Records in 2024.
Born in 1997, Charlotte graduated from Oxford University with First Class Honours in Music. She went on to study conducting at the Royal Academy of Music where she is currently Musical Director of their inaugural Junior Musical Theatre Department and was named an Honorary Associate (ARAM) in 2026.
She was assistant conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra from 2023-25.
