Barnaby Dickinson

Professor of Jazz Trombone

Barnaby is generally considered to be one of the best trombonists in Europe and is certainly one of the most in-demand freelance musicians on the London scene.

Since studying at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, his skill as a performer, arranger, composer and producer has kept him working constantly – his CV of collaborations, which read like a who’s who of pop and jazz luminaries, shows just how highly regarded he is.

Aside from being an extremely skilled player, he is a highly charismatic performer, whose joy and enthusiasm for playing make his performances infectious and hugely enjoyable.
