Anna Szałucka is a Polish pianist and creative collaborator based in London, known for her cross-disciplinary approach and exploration of new formats of musical expression.
Her work brings together performance, visual art, and immersive experiences, often extending beyond the traditional concert setting.
Her discography includes several critically acclaimed albums such as A Century of Polish Piano Miniatures (Naxos), The Hourglass (October House Records), Sonatas after Mozart and Handel for Trumpet with Jonathan Freeman-Attwood (Linn Records), as well as Selbstgespräche and Sound Meditation (Ulysses Arts), among others. The recordings feature a distinctive blend of new commissions, original works, and innovative transcriptions, and have been praised by international critics including Gramophone Magazine and BBC Music Magazine.
She is the founder of Piano Phase Project, an ensemble dedicated to creating music installations and site-specific performances in contemporary spaces, encouraging wider audiences to engage with music in new and accessible ways.
Anna has performed extensively across Europe and internationally, appearing at major venues and collaborating with organisations such as the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Wiener Beethoven Gesellschaft, Arthur Rubinstein International Music Foundation, and the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Her work has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and 4, Classic FM, and Polish Radio.
A prizewinner of international competitions, including First Prize and four special awards at the Tallinn International Piano Competition, she is a City Music Foundation Artist and continues to develop a diverse artistic career supported by the Imogen Cooper Music Trust and the Craxton Trust.
