Samuel Queen is Professor of Singing at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Royal Northern College of Music.

He also holds a teaching position at ArtsEd, working on Musical Theatre. He has served as a Director of the British Voice Association. His clients and students appear regularly at the Royal Opera, English National Opera and in major international houses and festivals.

Sam studied English at Cambridge University before postgraduate opera studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was awarded multiple prizes for song and opera. He enjoyed an international performing career, appearing throughout the world’s prestigious concert halls in a variety of genres. He now devotes his time exclusively to teaching.

Grounded in an evidence-based approach, Sam’s work with students aims to develop authentic, individual artists. Training combines vocal technical work with wider holistic development.
