Sought after in the dramatic tenor repertoire, Richard performs internationally at some of the world’s most important opera houses
Richard has sung the title role in Tristan und Isolde at Grange Park Opera, with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Myung-Whun Chung, and again in concert with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under Vasily Petrenko, the title role in Tannhäuser at Opera Australia under Richard Hickox and at the China National Opera House and Fuzhou Grand Theatre, the title role in Lohengrin at Teatro Massimo di Palermo under Günter Neuhold, Loge (Das Rheingold) with the Canadian Opera Company, and Laca (Jenůfa) at the Metropolitan Opera.
Most recently he has sung Loge (Der Ring des Nibelungen) for Opera Australia, Siegmund (Die Walküre Act I) with Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, General Wingrave (Owen Wingrave) at the Théâtre du Capitole, Toulouse, and the Aldeburgh and Edinburgh International festivals, Herod (Salome) for Teatro Mayor Bogota, and Aegisthus (Elektra) for National Theatre Prague.
