As a soloist, Emily has won many concerto competitions.

Emily completed her Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music in 2019, receiving a DipRAM for her final recital. Her studies were supported by various scholarships and awards such as the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation Scholarship, Countess of Munster Award, Help Musicians UK Ian Fleming Award, Winifred Agnes Disney Award, Craxton Memorial Trust Award, and RAM Foundation Award.

As a soloist, Emily won the King's College London Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2014, the Springboard Festival Concerto Competition in 2015, and the Dublin Brass Week Concerto Competition in 2017. She has also toured to Japan, America, and extensively across Europe.

As part of her orchestral training, Emily took part in the London Symphony Orchestra Brass Academy 2016, the London Sinfonietta Academy 2017, and the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme in 2018 and 2020. Emily was selected to be the 2018/19 MMSF Brass Fellow with the Philharmonia Orchestra, and joined the Glyndebourne Touring Opera on their ‘Pit Perfect’ scheme in the Autumn of 2019.

Emily has played Principal Trumpet with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, CBSO, English National Opera, Scottish Opera Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, and London Mozart Players. She also works with orchestras including the Philharmonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, English National Opera and Hallé Orchestra.
