Dominic has been principle Timpanist in the Orchestra of ENO since 1992
He has been Timpani Professor at Junior Academy since 2018
Dominic has taught individual lessons, repertoire classes and also examined at the Academy, the Royal College of Music and the Birmingham Conservatoire, as well as coaching for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
He has also appeared as Guest Principal Timpanist with many of the UK’s leading orchestras, such as the London Symphony, London Philharmonic, the Philharmonia, BBC Symphony, Royal Opera House, City of Birmingham Symphony and the Royal Scottish National, as well as renowned chamber orchestras like the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the London Mozart Players, and the Orquestre de Cadaques, based in Spain.
He has performed in concerts across the UK as well as tours to the USA, Europe and the Far East, whilst also appearing on many feature film and TV soundtracks, including The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Batman and The Chronicles of Narnia.
