Charlotte Corderoy is a London-based conductor and musical director currently working across both classical and musical theatre genres

Recent theatre credits include pianist for the Academy's 2022 production of Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, as well as rehearsal pianist for Only Fools and Horses the Musical at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket on London’s West End.

In 2022 she was appointed Assistant Conductor at Opera Holland Park for British Youth Opera’s production of Vaughan-Williams’s Sir John in Love. Other projects include assisting Jessica Cottis at the Aldeburgh Festival (Snape Maltings) working alongside the Britten Pears Contemporary Ensemble.

She is also one of seven women invited by the Royal Philharmonic Society to front a new scheme for female conductors in association with the Royal Northern Sinfonia at Sage Gateshead.

Charlotte began her musical journey as a pianist and organist. During her undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford, she held an Organ Scholarship at Hertford College, as well as Principal Conductorship of the Oxford University Philharmonia and the Oxford Contemporary Opera Society.

She is interested in showcasing contemporary music to new audiences and was musical director for the UK premiere of British composer Gavin Bryars's chamber opera Marilyn Forever.

She studied conducting at the Academy, during which time she received coaching from conductors including Edward Gardner (LPO), Sir Mark Elder (Hallé), John Wilson (John Wilson Orchestra) and Daniel Capps (NYC Ballet).

Charlotte is passionate about music education, and has held various positions at Charterhouse School, Sherborne School and the Junior Department at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
