Andrew is Principal Percussionist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra

After studying at the Royal College of Music, he embarked on a freelance career with the London and regional orchestras, chamber and contemporary groups and West End shows. In 1990 he was invited to join the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and spent five years there before moving to the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO). Andrew also presents the LPO’s highly acclaimed school’s concerts at the Royal Festival Hall. With several thousand children present, he has been required to sing, dance and even recite Shakespeare.

Recently, Andrew has also performed in The Lion King in the West End, on the soundtracks to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and other TV and film projects, and as timpanist with London Brass.
