Audiovisual artist Kathy Hinde creates installations and collaborative performances that combine sound, sculpture, image and light, primarily inspired by the behaviours and phenomena of nature. She has been collaborating with Academy pianists to present a concert that fuses piano, visuals and light.

The programme features a UK premiere by Czech composer Kryštof Mařatka, US composer Cindy Cox's La Cigüeña for piano and live electronics and The Grid by Tigran Hamasyan for piano, electric bass and drums. Solo piano works include music by Olivier Knussen, Kenneth Leighton, Scriabin, Debussy and more.

The visuals span live interactive systems that respond directly to the musicians' performance, abstractions from the everyday world and a re-imagining of Scriabin's 'light organ’.
