Czech conductor Jakub Hrůša, Chief Conductor of the Bamberg Symphony and Music Director of The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, conducts the Academy Symphony Orchestra for the first time.  

Janáček’s rhapsody after Nikolai Gogol’s epic story about the Cossack warrior Taras Bulba is paired with music from Bartók’s pantomime ballet, The Miraculous Mandarin.
