HANDEL Apollo and Daphne, HWV 122

Composed in 1709-10, Handel’s cantata is a story of unrequited love and transformation. Arrogant Apollo falls desperately in love with the nymph Daphne, who does not return his affections. Apollo and Daphne is directed by Elizabeth Kenny, one of Europe’s leading lutenists and Dean of Students at the Academy.
