Please take a moment to read the information on this page in order to make the most of your visit with us.

Underground

Our nearest Tube stations are Regent’s Park (Bakerloo line) or Baker Street (Bakerloo, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Circle lines). Both are a short walk along Marylebone Road from the Academy. The nearest step-free Tube station is King’s Cross St Pancras.

Bus

Bus numbers 27, 30, 88, 205 and 453 stop immediately outside the Royal Academy of Music. Bus numbers 2, 13, 74, 82, 113, 139, 189 and 274 stop nearby, at Baker Street Underground Station. All bus routes are wheelchair accessible and have kerb-level boarding.

Rail

Our nearest mainline railway stations are Marylebone (10 minutes walk), Euston, St Pancras International and King’s Cross.

Drop-off Point

Taxis and cars can pull into the ramped slip road directly in front of the main entrance. Our main entrance is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Car Parking

There is nearby parking on the Outer Circle of Regent’s Park (charges apply 9am-6.30pm every day) or at National Car Parks (generally around £8 per hour).

Blue Badge holders can park in free of charge in disabled parking bays near to the Academy (time limits may apply):

  • City of Westminster: Nottingham Place (in order to find spaces, you will need to input the Academy's Postcode into the map on the linked page, which is NW1 5HT)
  • Borough of Camden: Nearest bays in Cleveland Street and Warren Street
  • Crown Estate (Regent’s Park): The Outer Circle, which is the road running directly parallel to Marylebone Road, right by the entrance to the park

Bike

The Academy has designated parking for 50 bicycles.

We are proud to be able to offer appropriate access to all parts of the main building and the York Gate Building.

Tickets

Please remember that all events now require tickets and you must present your e-ticket to a steward either on your mobile device or by printing out your e-ticket in advance. When you placed your booking you will have received a confirmation email containing your e-ticket(s) as an attachment.

When to arrive

Please do not arrive any sooner than 30 minutes before advertised start time when stewards will be ready to welcome you and direct you to the venue. Please have your e-ticket to hand.

Eating and Drinking

On Monday to Friday during term time, the Academy’s canteen is open until 6pm for hot and cold food and soft drinks.

Pre-performance and interval drinks are available from the Academy’s bar, which is open on weekday evenings in term time, from 5pm.

Cloakroom

We regret the Academy does not have cloakroom facilities. Where possible, please do not bring luggage and large bags to concerts and events.

Please be aware that many of our events are filmed and/or photographed for the Academy’s archive and promotional purposes.
