Alison has been principal harp with English National Opera since 1984.

She also plays with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and with many other London orchestras as a freelance harpist.

She has been guest principal of Sydney Opera House. Having trained initially as a piano accompanist, she enjoys ensemble work and accompanying choirs – she has broadcast first performances of works by Judith Bingham with the BBC Singers and by Panufnik with St John’s Cambridge.

Alison has had many of her arrangements published, from folk songs to Mozart and Bach.
