Composer, producer and pianist Alexis Ffrench is the fastest-growing classical artist in the world and was the best-streaming British Classical Artist of 2020 and 2021. He has amassed over 400 million streams, 250k album sales, 250k TikTok followers and his albums Dreamland and Evolution both reached number one in the Official Classical Charts.
In September 2021 the Academy announced that it will offer two new scholarships for black UK or international undergraduate students, a new venture supported by the Sony Music UK Social Justice Fund in partnership with Alexis.
We are very pleased to welcome Alexis to the Governing Body, and look forward to continuing to work closely with him in the coming years.
