Semyon Bychkov conducts the Academy Symphony Orchestra in the final movement of Mahler’s Symphony No 9, in a concert performed to a sold-out Duke’s Hall.

Symphony No 9 was the last symphony Mahler completed. This video of the final movement has had nearly 15,000 views on YouTube.

Bychkov is Klemperer Chair of Conducting at the Academy. He also led the Academy Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in a performance of Mahler’s monumental Symphony No 2.
