The Academy Symphony Orchestra performs the Miller's Dance from Falla's The Three-Cornered Hat Suite, conducted by Manuel López-Gómez. This was performed alongside music by Debussy and Ravel in a concert of Impressionist music in the Academy’s Duke’s Hall.

The Three-Cornered Hat Suite is taken from the two-act ballet, written in 1919 for Sergei Diaghilev’s innovative Ballets Russes company.

López-Gómez is a graduate of Venezuela’s internationally renowned El Sistema music programme and is in demand as a conductor in Europe and the Americas. He has been working with the Academy since 2015.
