Visiting Professor, composer and film historian Neil Brand demonstrates the art of improvisation in this 1922 silent classic of Charles Dickens’ 1838 novel. It stars the wonderful eight-year-old Jackie Coogan, fresh from Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid, and Lon Chaney (The Phantom of The Opera): ‘The Man of a Thousand Faces’.
