BRUCKNER arr Anthony Payne Symphony No 2 in C minor

Anthony Payne breathes new life into Schoenberg’s tradition of chamber reductions with his reimagining of Bruckner’s Symphony No 2. Scored for a slightly larger ensemble than the one used in Schoenberg’s arrangement of the Emperor Waltz, Payne’s version reveals the luminescent appeal of Bruckner’s symphonic writing in a more intimate setting.
