Have a question about our discovery events? Find your answer here

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our Discovery Events.

If you're unable to find your answer, get in touch with our admissions team.

We organise hundreds of public events each year, including concerts, masterclasses and recitals - many of which are free. We would encourage you to look at our diary of events to see what we have on offer. If you have any additional questions about your area of study, you can find lots of information on our Department pages

You can also take a virtual tour of our performance spaces via the following:

If a tour is not included in the description of the Discovery Event you are attending, then this is not something which will form part of the event. However, anyone attending Discovery Events or a performance at the Academy has access to public spaces in the building.

We do not offer tours of the Academy on a regular basis.

We are not offering online events this year. We think the best way to experience the Academy is in person.

However, you can see a range of digital content from the Academy via our Youtube channel.

While we cannot offer specific advice about individual applications, we will be able to provide general information about the application process.

Please also see our 'apply' section here, which contains relevant application information.

No, we would welcome prospective students who are considering postgraduate study to attend. Staff will be ready to talk about these courses too.

For most events, you will not need to bring anything. If you are booking an individual consultation class, then the department administrator will let you know anything you need to bring or be aware of when they get in touch with you to confirm details of your visit.

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email from the Academy. This means we have added you to the list of attendees and are expecting you.

If you are planning to attend a consultation lesson or to observe a class, you will be directed to the contact page for the relevant department. The Department Administrator will be in touch with you to confirm shortly after.

Spaces are limited to two per attendee, meaning you can bring one guest with you.

If your department does not have an event listed on this page, we recommend you check out our diary of events to see relevant performances coming up and contact the relevant department with any questions.
