Baritone Thomas Chenhall is in the final year of his Master's degree at the Academy under Raymond Connell. He is supported by the Academy and the Charlotte Fraser Foundation. He completed his undergraduate degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Professor Stephen Robertson.

Thomas's 2019 engagements included Solo Inmate 5 in Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; Chorus in Nabucco and Lucia di Lammermoor with Dorset Opera Festival; Chorus in the Edinburgh International Festival’s Götterdämmerung; and his international debut as Laquais in Don Quichotte at the Wexford Opera Festival in Ireland.

In July 2020, Thomas should have made his British debut singing roles in Boris Godunov and La rondine at Dorset Opera Festival. In September, he was to have been one of the youngest singers to take part in the postponed Live Finals for the 4th Éva Marton International Singing Competition in Budapest, selected as one of only three singers from the UK. Unfortunately these engagements were postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic.
