Sophie comes to the Academy having recently graduated from the Royal College of Music with a Graduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. She has performed operatic roles such as Meg in Falstaff, Phoebe in Yeomen of the Guard and Harry in Albert Herring.
Sophie is an active member of the National Youth Music Theatre. Her credits include Gussie Carnegie in Merrily we Roll Along at the Southwark Playhouse in 2023 and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods in 2024.
Sophie holds a BA in History of Art from the University of Nottingham where she was a choral scholar and a soloist in the university’s leading a cappella group and vocal ensemble. Credits whilst studying include Vivienne in Legally Blonde and Johanna in Sweeney Todd at the Nottingham Concert Hall.
An avid classical singer, Sophie sings with professional choirs and vocal groups across the country, and has completed training with the National Student Drama Festival and All the World’s a Stage Theatre Company. Away from the theatre, Sophie performs regularly in a close harmony folk duo with her twin sister.
