Rachelle holds a first-class BA (Hons) degree in Spanish and Philosophy from Durham University. While studying, she immersed herself in the university’s arts scene, performing in musicals and plays with roles including Joanne in RENT, Jade in Home and Newt Lee in Parade.

She was also a committee member of the award-winning a cappella group The Northern Lights, with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, competed at the ICCAs and Voice Fest, and recorded an EP. Alongside this, she sang lead for funk and soul bands, appeared in cabarets, and continues to sing with her church choir.

After graduating, Rachelle built a successful career in the corporate world while continuing to perform at every opportunity. Highlights include singing as a soloist at Earth Theatre with ChoirCo and, most recently, playing Celie in Sedos’ production of The Color Purple. As the UK’s first amateur staging of the musical, the production sold out its two-week run and her performance earned her the NODA Award for Best Female Performer in a Musical. Rachelle holds a Disney Theatrical Productions Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music.
