Matilda graduated from King’s College London with a degree in English Literature. As a child performer, Matilda played the roles of Young Eponine and Little Cosette in Les Miserables (Queen’s Theatre 2014) and Matilda in Matilda the Musical (Cambridge Theatre 2015), as well as originating the roles of Qui Qui Marx in Young Marx (The Bridge Theatre 2017) and Young Milly in The Butterfly Lion (Chichester Festival Theatre 2019).
Matilda’s screen credits include the role of Eleanor in The Time of Their Lives (2017) and Emma in The Dumping Ground (CBBC 2020). Whilst at university, Matilda joined the National Youth Music Theatre where she played the roles of Beth in Merrily we Roll Along (Southwark Playhouse Elephant 2023) and Rapunzel in Into the Woods (Southwark Playhouse Elephant 2024).
At university, Matilda was heavily involved in musical theatre, playing the roles of Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Paulette (Legally Blonde) and Emma (Jekyll and Hyde) as well as singing for the King’s College Big Band, the function band Ladbroke Groove and spending three years as part of the university's award-winning a cappella group, acting as choreographer in her final year.
