Matilda graduated from King’s College London with a degree in English Literature. As a child performer, Matilda played the roles of Young Eponine and Little Cosette in Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre and Matilda in Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, as well as originating the roles of Qui Qui Marx in Young Marx at the Bridge Theatre and Young Milly in The Butterfly Lion at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
Matilda’s screen credits include the roles of Eleanor in The Time of Their Lives and Emma in The Dumping Ground. While at university, Matilda joined the National Youth Music Theatre where she played the roles of Beth in Merrily we Roll Along and Rapunzel in Into the Woods, both at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.
At university, Matilda was heavily involved in musical theatre, playing the roles of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Paulette in Legally Blonde and Emma in Jekyll and Hyde. She also sang for the King’s College Big Band and The Function Band, and spent three years as part of the university's award-winning a cappella group, acting as choreographer in her final year.
