Madeleine is delighted to be studying Musical Direction and Coaching at the Royal Academy of Music. She grew up in London playing classical piano and viola, then later studied jazz trumpet, voice and accordion. Madeleine graduated in 2022 from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in mathematics and music.
In Edinburgh, Madeleine worked on over 30 productions. Highlights include seven shows as MD at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, co-writing a musical Click to Connect and conducting and orchestrating The Edinburgh Gang Show (Edinburgh Festival Theatre).
Professional credits include assistant MD/cover conductor on Hamlet (Royal Shakespeare Company, 2025), music assistant for a workshop (Playful Productions), keys player/programmer for Annie Get Your Gun (Frinton Summer Theatre), and MD/arranger for Robin Hood and The Importance of Being Earnest (Hounslow Arts Centre).
She recently played keys for Company and Jesus Christ Superstar at the Buxton Opera House. Madeleine has sung for the National Youth Choir of Scotland and as a scholar for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus.
She is a Musicians’ Company Young Artist and recipient of the Musicians' Company Music Direction Scholarship. Madeleine holds the Tomoro Foundation Award at the Royal Academy of Music.
