An accomplished performer, musician and composer, Jobim Ffrench combined his love of music with Chinese Studies and International Relations, graduating with a first-class degree (MA Hons) from the University of St Andrews in 2025.
On stage, his university theatre credits include roles such as Anthony in Sweeney Todd, the title role in Pippin and The Baker in Into the Woods. As a performer, he has appeared as a soloist at prestigious venues including the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Centre.
Recently, he performed as a soloist with an a cappella vocal ensemble that gained public attention, leading to a UK tour, a sold-out appearance at the West End’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane and a residency at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
As a songwriter and composer, Jobim has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Leona Lewis and Katherine Jenkins, with works published by Sony Music and Universal Music Publishing. In April 2025, he debuted his original musical, To Fables and Legend. Most recently, he served as score assistant on HBO Max’s television series Charlotte’s Web.
Jobim is a recipient of the Disney Theatrical Productions Award at the Royal Academy of Music.
