Hector joined his local youth theatre group in London at the age of five. For the next 13 years, he went on to perform in shows such as Les Misérables, Urinetown and Chicago, as well as cabaret productions of Sweeney Todd and Wicked at the Royal Festival Hall. Hector also took private lessons in singing, guitar and trumpet, and was a member of his schools' choirs and orchestras.
In 2021, Hector began his undergraduate degree in Criminology at the University of Exeter. Hector quickly became an avid member of Exeter’s theatre community, performing at the Northcott Theatre in productions of Company and Singing in the Rain. He also worked at the Barnfield Theatre as a vocal coach on a production of Little Women and as the musical director on a production of Carrie. He went on to work on several small productions in Exeter, both as a musical creative and actor, including multiple original productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
In his final year in Exeter, Hector became the president of the Shotgun Theatre Society after a two-year stint as company musical supervisor.
After his graduation, Hector abandoned his plan of joining the police in London and decided to pursue his true passion of musical theatre, and is beyond thrilled to be continuing his creative journey at the Royal Academy of Music.
