Connor Baiano is a British-Italian bass studying for his Advanced Diploma with Royal Academy Opera (RAO), under the tutelage of Mark Wildman and Ingrid Surgenor.

Connor performed the role of Colline in Clonter Opera’s 2018 production of La bohème. Other roles include Bertrand in Iolanta (RAO); Truffaldino and Lakai in Ariadne auf Naxos (Berlin Opera Academy); covering the role of Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte (Longborough Festival Opera); and Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Black Bob and Tom in The Little Sweep (Cambridge Youth Opera). In 2018 he also sang in the chorus for Der Fliegende Holländer (Longborough Festival Opera), and sang the bass solos in Mozart’s Requiem (Prior Park Choral Society).

Most recently, Connor sang the roles of Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte and Un Officier in Chérubin (both RAO), and Mustafa from L’italiana in Algeri in RAO Scenes. The summer production of Albert Herring, in which Connor was to sing Superintendent Budd, was cancelled due to Covid-19.
