Abbey recently graduated from The Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin (RIAM) with first-class honours in Vocal Performance, studying under Professor Virginia Kerr and Dearbhla Collins.

Performing from the age of three, Abbey represented Ireland at the World Championships of Performing Arts (Los Angeles, 2010) and was a soloist on the Late Late Toy Show (RTÉ, 2011). She is a multiple prize winner in vocal competitions such as Navan Choral Festival, AIMS and Feis Ceoil, where she was awarded the Rosebowl as the overall vocal winner in 2019.

She was a soloist for the RIAM's 175th anniversary concert in 2023 and was a finalist in The Irené Sandford Competition in 2024. Additionally, she played the role of Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady in Naas Musical Society's Variety Concert at the Moat Theatre in 2024.

Abbey has performed in many operas, most notably the world premiere of Spirits Unsurrendered by Stephen McNiff at the Kilmainham Gaol Museum in 2023, and recently performed as Lisetta in Haydn’s La Vera Costanza at the Samuel Beckett Theatre. She was also a soloist in An Afternoon at the Opera as part of The Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition.
