The competition, now in its second year, is for violinists under the age of 28 and is judged by a panel of experts appointed by the Guadagnini Foundation. This year's awards ceremony took place on 26 February at the Liederhalle Stuttgart in Germany.

For winning the competition, Anna received a €30,000 cash prize and will perform in upcoming concerts with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the Robert-Schumann-Philharmonie Chemnitz, the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin and the Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra. Anna will also be loaned a 1746 violin made by the famous 18th century Italian maker Giovanni Battista Guadagnini for three years.

As part of our Bicentenary Series on Linn Records, Anna's album Rêverie will be released on 19 April. On this recording, Anna presents enchanting interpretations of Fauré’s Violin Sonata No 1 & Amy Beach’s Romance with pianist Chiao-Ying Chang. Listen to an excerpt and pre-order the album here.
