In his role so far, Daniel has expanded the programme of weekly performance classes at JA so that every student now plays as soloist in front of an audience at least once a term. Chamber music provision has also been developed, including a performance class programme for all chamber ensembles and increased opportunities to play elsewhere. Furthermore, Daniel has introduced partnerships with venue and festivals across London including St John's Smith Square, St James's Piccadilly, Steinway Hall, Marylebone Music Festival, London International Festival of Early Music and Wilton's Music Hall, to give a wider platform to JA students.

Daniel commented, 'I am delighted to be working with the talented young musicians at Junior Academy. Performance is at the heart of what we do here, and I am keen that all Junior Academy students are performing regularly and learning from the experience, which cannot be replicated in the practice room. The role also gives me the chance to develop the area about which I am perhaps most passionate: chamber music. Students learn a huge amount from this discipline, which requires listening, teamwork and proactivity, and which can also be hugely enjoyable and foster great musical friendships.'
