Charlotte will begin her new role in October, and will work closely with the CBSO across the full range of its activity in the upcoming season. Charlotte's appointment comes after an extensive and collaborative process involving the orchestra's Chief Conductor Kazuki Yamada, musicians and management from an incredibly competitive field of applicants.

Charlotte has recently made her debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the City of London Sinfonia at Opera Holland Park. Alongside her work with the CBSO, this season Charlotte will make her professional debuts at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and alongside Barbara Hannigan with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra & Swedish Radio Choir.

In October 2022, Charlotte assisted Barbara Hannigan in a concert at the Academy featuring the works of Stravinsky, Knussen and Delage. She has since collaborated again with Barbara on a new Academy recording of Stravinsky’s chamber works, which will be released on Linn Records in spring 2024.
